Sirkap is the archaeological site of a magnificent fortified city built by the Greco-Bactrian kings in the 2nd century BC. Visitors can experience the unique grid-iron street plan influenced by Greek city-planning, along with remnants of royal palaces and diverse religious shrines. The best time to tour the ruins is between November and February when the weather is crisp and pleasant.
